Project Management / Construction Management: This position allows the successful candidate develop and improve project / construction management skills. The position will require project management, consultant management, and possibly some construction management. It will also require interfacing with other agencies.

Job Description:
The Senior Civil Engineer will work assisting a mid sized municipality manage major projects involving preparation and supervision of design, specifications, plans estimates and reports involved in the construction and operation of a wide variety of capital improvement projects. Project could include storm drains, sanitary sewer's, streets and highways, structures, buildings or water utility system. The Senior Civil Engineer will manage and oversee consultants and contractors. They will also coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; and provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field. At least five years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering. Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is desired. Successful candidate must have effective communication skills, both written and orally and strong presentation skills.
